A huge WELCOME from Lee, Louisa, Lee-Anne and Mike, Directors
If you have any questions, comments or problems, please ask your manager or reach out to me, Louisa, on 07817109673. I am one of the Directors at Greenway and I’m always happy to listen and help.

Keeping people safe is obviously important, and at the heart of what we do. But safeguarding is something quite different.
At Greenway it is a set of policies and training, designed to dovetail into all the other agencies and organisations working with the vulnerable people we house, to provide a protective safety net that catches abuse and steps in to make it stop.
Our role is small, but vital. You need to be aware of the types of abuse, what a red flag might look like, and what to do if you witness anything or have a concern.
Our safeguarding policies are also in place to keep YOU safe. An allegation will always be, at best unpleasant, and at worst, life changing. Keep yourself safe by understanding your risk, keeping within our professional boundaries, and talking to us if something doesn't feel right.
Louisa Trunks is our Designated Safeguarding Lead. Reach her at [email protected] or 07817109673
READ: this document to make sure that you are familiar with the different types of abuse and the red flags that you may witness. We do not have a lot of contact with our guests (or tenants), but, particularly with council guests in Emergency Accommodation, every person has a responsibility to keep every other human safe. The most important thing to remember is that your instincts are king. If you witness something that doesn't feel right, tell your Safeguarding Officer, which is Louisa Trunks. Don't agonise about interfering, or judging, or try to work out what might be going on.
IF ITS A FLAG FEED IT IN.

Please report all accidents, incidents and near misses on our electronic accident form. Click the image to access the form.
For further information on procedures please read
RIDDOR to familiarise yourself with the law on reporting accidents in the work place.
As a minimum our maintenance workers need: Pair of safety boots, High Vis vest, eye protection, hard hat, gloves.
We will provide these so need your shoesize and vest size via your manager ASAP.
Due to the varying nature of our sites - every item will not be required. The different needs will be assessed and outlined in our Risk assessments, and training will be provided for appropriately use of PPE by the Property Works Manager.
Please be aware that you too have a part to play in keeping yourself Healthy & Safe. It is your responsibility to follow your training and use your PPE, once we have provided it. We encourage you to make a safe choice and not put yourself at unnecessary risk, but will not be able to monitor your use.

Only overtime that has been pre-approved by a Director/Senior Manager will be paid. If you have had this approved please submit the additional hours worked to Finance by 22nd of the month. Any hours submitted after this date will be paid at the end of the following month.
Our UK payroll runs on the 1st of the month, which means that it will land in your bank account on the next working day if the 1st is a weekend or bank holiday.
When Maintenance or Housekeeping carry out extra tasks on behalf of a landlord, these are charged as a 'disbursement'. Its important that we capture this information and enough detail that we can explain the charges to the landlord.
When you have carried out extra tasks, please fill out the following form ON THE SAME DAY!
To claim for expenses please submit the following form by the 22nd of the month, for payment on the 1st.
All expenses must be pre-agreed and have a valid vat receipt.
We will reimburse employees for any additional travel taken on behalf of Greenway property at 0.45ppm. We do not cover trips to and from work, only for the driving between properties/locations after you have arrived at your first property of the day.
Please download Mile IQ onto your phone - this app will sit in the background and log all drives you do. You then simply swipe right to log it as a business trip (and left for personal), and then monthly create a report.
Reclaim the fuel using our normal expenses procedure, and attach the mileIQ report as a receipt.
Please submit all receipts for purchases made with company bank cards IMMEDIATLY, and at least, most definitely by the 22nd of the month. If this doesn't happen we can not complete a full reconciliation, we can not reclaim the VAT and our monthly management reports will not be correct.
EVERYTHING, including something purchased personally that needs reimbursing NEEDS A VAT RECEIPT!
All staff who drive on Greenway business, need to complete this form. It will only take 5 minutes, but you will need a photo of your driving licence.

Two brilliant videos for you to watch on effective communication, which is at the heart of every work day!
Thank you for your attention and time. Hopefully you feel well inducted and up to speed on how things work here at Greenway. If you have any questions then please do get in touch with your line manager, or with me, and we will be very happy to help.
Enjoy your time with us, and remember that I am always here if you need me, or if you have any concerns.
